With one out, Highlands made first on an error, advanced to second on Hallowell's base on balls, to third on Mason's sacrifice and home on Upton's hit. In the eighth, thanks to Hapgood, the game was won. Cook and Sullivan were on third and second, and there were two men out. It was a trying place for Hapgood, and yet there could not have been a prettier hit than the one he planted between centre and right field...
