To a deaf audience of some 1,500 people, a deaf minister preached a sermon with his hands while his daughter translated it into words for those who could hear. An Associated Press despatch from Evanston, 111., reported that a blonde girl had sold to housewives some "lily bulbs" which proved, after a week in water, to be stones.
