Marshall, King and Hovey, but their absence did not seem to make the playing of the line either better or worse. It held a little better than usual, but even then allowed the second eleven to break through and nearly block Marshall's tries for field goals...
After the preliminary work of passing around the ball the ends were given practice in getting down on kicks. In the first line-up between first teams A and B the playing was more even than yesterday partly owing to better defense by B, team A getting but two touchdowns. The playing was also close in the line-up between second teams A and B, team B making one touchdown on a long run after breaking through the line...
Yesterday afternoon the Freshman football squad was divided into six teams which were lined up against each other for the first time. Even considering that this was the first line-up the playing was very loose and erratic. As the men were nervous they failed to work together and did not follow the ball. On the offensive the interference was slow in forming and was easily broken up by individual playing on the defence. The men seem to have mastered the rudimentary principles fairly well, but will have to work hard before any signs of team work appear...

...final round of the doubles match was won by Clothier and Leonard, who defeated Wright and Larned of Princeton, 6-1, 6-4, 5-7, 7-5. The match was very even and hard fought. Wright and Larned won the third set by excellent tennis, but the superior steadiness of the Harvard team won the match. Clothier and Leonard won the last set after having the score 5-0 against them, showing great brilliancy and steadiness...
