...University swimming team easily defeated Brown at Providence in a dual meet last night, winning four out of the five events. The most exciting event was the 50-yard dash, won by D. C. Noyes '07, in the fast time of 30 2-5 seconds, a new record for the Brown tank. In the plunge for distance E. H. Sherburne '05 did excellent work, breaking by 2 1-2 feet the tank record of 54 feet. ...Hemenway Gymnasium last evening. The work of the two teams was very even throughout, though that of the Yale team was somewhat more finished. Anderson excelled for Yale, and Captain Evans for Harvard. The performance on the parallel bars was the best on the program, and in this event the Harvard team showed a high degree of training. ...annual indoor handicap games of the Cambridgeport Gymnasium Association will be held on Monday evening, February 6, at 7.30 o'clock in the Cambridgeport Gymnasium, corner of Prospect and Harvard streets.
