Arrangements have been made by which special rooms are secured for Harvard men at the Dedham Club House. It is expected that there will be more than 150 entries for this road race, which is an annual event and in which many of the best riders of the country have entered. There will be thirty-two prizes, two of them being time prizes. The record for the course is 27m. 33s. and was made last year by T. S. Butler. As the road is in much better condition this year, it is thought that the record will be lowered...

...competition between '97 and '98 for the Wells cup could hardly have been closer, and the result could not be announced until the last event was finished. The juniors have now won this cup for three successive years, and they have only to win next year to secure the cup permanently. As several of the best athletes from '97 did not compete yesterday it seems probable that they will repeat their victory next year. The freshmen did not show up particularly well and only won a few scattering points...
