Those who have read his first book, "White Shadows In The South Seas" will know what to expect as to treatment and style in "The Mystic Isles". There is the same breezy journalistic style, readable and vivid above all, although some time uneven and crud; the same mixture of description and narrative and exposition all, brightened by Mr. O'Brien's even present exuberance and enthusiasm.
