...proud title of "University city" is one that can possibly be stretched to cover the entire territory included under the name of Cambridge, together with its numerous prefixes and suffixes. By the Boston Transcript, at least, the above title is extended to include the classic precincts of Cambridge port, where recently a rather curious proceeding has been taking place. A performance of "Young Mrs. Winthrop" by a Madison Square Campany has been advertised to take place at Union Hall in that town, a building hitherto restricted to the accommodation of the most strictly virtuous of Star lecture courses and Swiss...
...race just rowed. They will no longer be troubled by perplexing guesses at "what might have been." Of course our defeat this year would not have been an acknowledgement of fear last year, but, luckily, victory makes all argument on that point unnecessary. Therefore, with excellent reason, we extend our congratulations to the crew. ...ready for production. Its title is "That Girl from Vassar," in which "Virgie Vane, the pet of Vassar," and "Harry Hall, from Harvard, general athlete, with a record of 10 1/2 seconds," figure as the principal and striking characters. A new dance is introduced, called the "Harvard shuffle." We extend the hand of sympathy in our common affliction to our sisters at Vassar...
