Newhall received Blanchard's kick-off and ran back 25 yards to the middle of the field. Lincoln secured the second touchdown after the ball had been kicked up and down the field several times. Osborne finally made a fair catch on the 35-yard line, and the ball was soon rushed over for the second score.
