Today the fall chess tournament will begin, to pick the team of 10 men to play Yale on November 20 at New Haven. Only 40 men have entered, and although this is a smaller number than usual, the material is better. The candidates will be divided into sections of six men, and a round robin tournament will be played in each, the two best men being retained for the semi-finals.
