Stimulated by this thick overburden (hinting at great age), the archeologists attacked the bluff with dynamite and a bulldozer. By fall they had uncovered stone, bone and antler artifacts (prehistoric scrap pile), and bones of extinct animals (prehistoric garbage dump).
