...work consisted in rowing in short stretches up stream about a mile, then down stream as far as the Magazine street beach, and returning to the University boathouse. The crew started out well, but rowed poorly after the first half mile. The boat rocked considerably. Morgan at 8 washed out with his blade at the end of his stroke.
