Inspiring and thrilling as is the record of American college men in the present world struggle, it is yet not so moving as that made by the colleges of our allies. The universities of Canada have sent forth a far greater proportion of their graduates than have the colleges and universities of this country, and a greater proportion of them have been killed. The University of Toronto, for instance, contributed about 5,400 men from students' bench and professors' chair, of whom 604 gave up their lives, or somewhat more than 10 per-cent. Similar contributions have been made...

...this law, Congress in effect 'anticipated by about six months a nation-wide prohibition under the Federal amendment. The amendment cannot be repealed; it must be enforced, beginning next winter. So far as any individual is concerned, it may make little difference whether wine and beer can be bought and sold for beverage purposes in the second half of this year, so long as they must go under the ban within a few months at the latest. Yesterday Williams was the opponent, a highly rated organization, supposedly strong in all departments. After the last Purple batter had flied out the score stood 11-4, with the Williams team far to the rear. Again the stands had done their share by their ardent backing and this time, they were not disappointed. They saw an organization which was playing at top speed from start to finish, and that is what they have been waiting to see. If the team has really found itself and can continue this consistent aggressiveness and wide-awake playing Coach Duffy and Captain McLeod need...
