Revisionist Leader Vladimir Jabotinskv, Russian-born journalist, poet, essayist, who operates in Poland, preaches terrorism, believes in a militant Zionism to be defended by Jewish arms. Banned from Palestine, having left the World Zionist Organization three years ago, frequently called the Jewish fascist leader, Jabotinsky and his methods were decried by official Palestinian Jewry. Zionist-supporting Hebrew newspapers called for self-restraint, the chief rabbinate of Palestine condemned reprisals, the Jewish Agency for Palestine asked that Jews practice "discipline and constructive work" as the "best reply to Arab terrorism." Before London's House of Commons, Secretary of State...

...National Social Christian Party of Adrien Arcand has found a happy home in Quebec. Leader Arcane! is publisher of Montreal's new Fascist party organ Le Combat National, editor of L'Illustration Nouvelle, semi-official organ of Premier Maurice Duplessis' Provincial Government, and his Jew-baiting, corporatist teachings have fallen on approving ears in Canada's most conservative spot. Doubtful it is that sickly, 64-year-old Speaker William Bankhead of the House of Representatives, could pass a rope-skipping examination; that suffering Harry L. Hopkins, Federal relief administrator, would survive a pole-vaulting test; that Senate Majority Leader Alben Barkley would fare well with the broad jump, or that bald, short House Majority Leader Sam Rayburn could throw a discus very...

...ample paunch is evidence of a decadence not to be tolerated in his Party. Il Duce's news-organ Il Popolo d'Italia laid the law down recently: "Excessively fat members are undesirable in the Party ranks. . . . Their hearts, minds, nerves and muscles are all Fascist, but their bellies, no!" To Rome last week were ordered 45 special secretaries and inspectors of the Fascist Party. In the Forum Mussolini, with Il Duce watching, with pantherlike Fascist Secretary Achille Starace leading, the testees swam, jumped through blazing hoops, leaped from springboards over hedges of bayonets, tanks and armored cars...
