At the beginning the Seniors got a lead of several points which they succeeded in keeping until well through the half. The team-play of the Juniors improved as the game continued and they finally obtained the lead, which they held until the end of the game, by scoring two baskets...

This order was kept until they approached Harvard bridge, when the University eight took the lead. The third was rowing a faster stroke and splashing, while the University crew continued to gain. After the bridge was passed, the third raised its stroke but was unable to gain on the University crew which finished two lengths and a quarter ahead...
