Last week it was revealed that the U.S. gross domestic product grew 7.2 percent over the summer, the fastest pace since 1984. The country also saw a 6.6 percent jump in consumer spending during the same quarter. Some economists are saying this could mean the economy is finally pulling out of its slump, but naysayers point to the fact that employment fell by 165,000 jobs during the quarter of growth and that the job market does not yet seem to be improving.
