With more of the regular players, back in the line-up, the scrimmage yesterday afternoon, the longest so far this season, showed great improvement over the work on Monday. There was much less fumbling and the offense played fast and hard, getting off together nearly every time. Although scored on twice in two 14-minute halves, the second eleven held fairly well and made first down several times. Davie was tried at fullback and ran well with the ball. ...first long run of the cross country squad was held yesterday afternoon, when the men ran about 4 1-2 miles. The distance will later be increased to 8 miles.
