Captain Newhall was the most untiring player on the ice. His body checking and stick work were remarkable and he carried and lifted the puck well. Pell showed unexpected improvement, and was especially fast on the offense, often carrying the puck the entire length of the rink unaided. Townsend's shooting was excellent, and he did much hard body checking. Although Macleod when near his own goal did not always cover his opponent, his stick work was very clever and he showed good endurance.
