Princeton, N. J., November 4, 1913--With all the regular men in the line-up, the Princeton eleven went through a fast game with the Freshmen, scoring a field goal and two touchdowns. The field goal and first touchdown were due to Captain Baker while Law who also did the punting, made a long run around end for the third score. The two tackles, Phillips and Ballin, proved far too strong for the Freshman line, frequently tearing through and throwing runners on defensive plays. Colgate took Yale by surprise with her fast plunging backfield, and the Yale line, weakened by the presence of many substitutes, was unable to withstand their attack. Yale's attack was slow and uncertain and was, except for the second period, during which flashes or brilliancy were shown, ineffective. Fumbling was the direct cause of two of Colgate's touchdowns.
