...Freshman hockey team was put through a stiff practice on the Stadium rink yesterday afternoon. The principal feature of the practice was a fast 30-minute scrimmage between the first and second teams, the former winning by the score of 4 to 3. The fine condition of the ice enabled both teams to play well together and resulted in one of the snappiest practices held on the Stadium rink so far this winter. The second team showed the result of the hard work they have been given during the last two weeks and for a time more than held their...

There is little or nothing on which comparisons of the two can be based. In three games played so far this year, St. Francis has defeated King's University, the Shamrocks, and the Victorias, all strong provincial teams, by decisive scores. The Freshmen played a strong offensive game but were unable to penetrate successfully their opponents' lighter defense which was aided by the excellent following back of their forwards. The last few minutes of play were marred by undue roughness on the part of the Freshman team...

...present squad, 15 are candidates for the Freshman team and have shown up remarkably well in practice. The relay team is especially fast and would be a strong contender for the intercollegiate championship. The most promising of the candidates are: W. H. Claflin, A. C. Cox, M. J. Logan, D. R. Sigourney, and F. B. Withington. Withington and Sigourney have also done fast trials for the 50-yard dash, and Cox has done well in the distance plunge...
