...Fast Forward takes itself too seriously. Instead of acknowledging the plot as an excuse for the dancing, the film concentrates with annoying fervor on the values of hard work, group loyalty and persistence. Ironically, the most successful parts of the movie are those that relax and let the actors enjoy themselves that abandon this pseudo serious exploration of the challenges of the artistic life.
