Whether you're one of those Windy City residents who favor Chicago's bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics or you believe the whole project is just ripe for Capone-style corruption, know this: when you're standing on the shores of Lake Michigan, it's easy to imagine an idyllic Olympic experience. With Grant Park and the tip of the Willis (né Sears) Tower at your back, gaze out at the site of the planned rowing venue. I am a reasonable American with a bunch of formal education and life experience, and I am opposed to the current plan solely because I do not believe there is a way to pay for it, either individually or collectively. Wait until you see the premium you will be charged to cover your pre-existing serious illness--and everyone else...
...Obama is truly in favor of controlling our borders and curbing illegal immigration, then it is necessary to make it less appealing to disregard the law and sneak into the United States. By sending the clear message that illegal immigrants will not be hired—as well as convincing employers that they cannot retain illegal employees—other measures such as border security will be more meaningful and effective...
