What do you hope women will gain from the book? The word that I constantly hear out of women is fear. It's almost like a background melody. Women have excellent degrees and experience, but we are afraid we aren't good enough because we have such high expectations. You must of course find your passion, but quality of life should take precedence over your work life...
...President has a "deep-seated hatred of white people." That statement is part of a consistent pattern of race-baiting by Beck. This summer, ColorofChange.org began asking advertisers to stop supporting Beck's TV show because our members are concerned about the way he stokes racial paranoia and fear with inflammatory rhetoric that's not based in fact. Dozens of companies listened and pulled their ads. It's clear that much of corporate America already knows the answer to the question your article poses. Indeed, Glenn Beck is bad for America. ...Even the junta's notorious xenophobia is rooted less in a desire for isolation than in an ingrained fear of invasion. Without a separate entrance for women, or gender-specific meeting rooms, firms fear they could be prosecuted. There are also still no laws to protect women from harassment at work. "There is no meaning behind female education if they can't enter the workforce," says al-Gasim...
Hoax is such a flimsy word, far too feeble to describe the wickedness of which the Heenes, Richard and Mayumi, now stand accused. Theirs was sleight of hand for the soul: now we see it, now we don't; now we watch in horror and fear for their child's life, a 6-year-old boy, frightened, cold, lost in the clouds; now we learn he was up in the garage attic with snacks, while Mom and Dad auditioned for their 15 minutes of fame...
