...FEATHER-WEIGHT WRESTLING.The second event was the first heat of the featherweight wrestling, between F. E. Hughes (124 lbs.), and A. C. Coolidge, (118 lbs.), both freshmen. First bout. The men were very evenly matched, but seemed to lack sufficient strength to throw squarely after obtaining a hold. Several minutes were consumed in manoeuvering and falls on the face. The bout was so protracted that several times the contestants were compelled to rest and get their wind. Once both were thrown together, and came down flat like a pair of turtles.
