...experienced oarsman and yesterday although rowing a slow stroke put life into the crew behind him. Guild who has been rowing 7 throughout the season is somewhat uncertain, and yesterday was ragged in his blade work at times. Richardson who has been rowing 5 showed a tendency to feather under water, but his slide was well under control and he carried through a hard stroke. Newhall at 2 was somewhat ragged in his form and over-reached at the catch quite frequently, but as this was only his second day on the water he will probably steady down shortly...
