After "Like a Rolling Stone" the Newport fiasco, and his motocycle accident, Dylan hibernated, his resistance to being claimed by the Movement looking suspiciously like paranoia. He wrote two of his clearest statements during the early part of that period, "It's All Right, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)" and "Ballad of a Thin...

What happened? For one thing, admits the Rev. T.A. Raedeke, Lutheran executive director of Key 73, "it was a fiasco financially." Organizers had hoped for at least $2,000,000 for the national campaign; less than $600,000 materialized. Most of the money went for a television special and other activities of "Launch Weekend" a year ago. Local and regional groups, though, spent at least $10 million...

A powerful new faction emerged, led by Sun Yat-sen, and in October 1911, it brought revolution to the Chinese. The overthrow of the imperial power came with surprisingly little bloodshed--the enemies were still from without. Chiang Kai-shek and Mao Tse-tung, two aids of Sun, worked with their leader for unity in the Middle Kingdom. The process was completed by Mao in 1949 with the October...

CROSBY AND NASH. Who knows what David Crosby and Graham Nash are doing these days? After their cameo roles in Neil Young's fiasco Journey Through the Past, who even cares? But they might do some old songs. They might even have written some good new songs. And if you don't mind that the cheapest seat is $4.50 and if you are willing to believe that Stills and Young may show up, maybe going to this concert is worth the trouble. I doubt...
