...join the procession which will be formed at 7.30 p. m. in front of University Hall. Headed by the band, the crews and the nine, the crowd will march around the Yard to the homes of President Eliot and Professor Hollis, who will respond; and then to Soldiers Field, where a huge bonfire has been prepared. As the committee in charge of the celebration has arranged for a large amount of combustible material, it is earnestly requested that no raids be made on the football grand-stands. Wesleyan played better football than any team Harvard has met this year. Her back-field was aggressive and the mass tackle plays were very well executed. Hartzell played a brilliant game at halfback and punted well. The ends, and especially S. Dodds, were successful in pocketing the Harvard tackles although a well formed interference sometimes put them out of the play...

As Hartzell was attempting to punt out, Burden broke through and downed him for a safety. Hallowell's next punt was not as well directed and the ball rolled over the goal line. A rush by Devens on receiving...
...second eleven, the back-field, considering its light weight, played a fast game. The punting of R. Lawrence, the rushing of Hurley, and the tackling of E. Motley, encouraged the team to meet the attacks of the first eleven. A. R. Sargent strengthened the line to a great extent by stopping several centre plays...
