Certainly cross-country running is a sufficiently important branch of track to be made a "legitimate" field in which to win one's letter. It is not a trivial sport. Many of the garments and other articles lost at Soldiers Field on Saturday were sent to the Locker Building and are now held by the Harvard Athletic Association.
