Something in excess of 20,000 was the number of applications to the Yale football management for tickets to the Harvard game, as announced today. Over 6,000 had to be returned to disappointed applicants; but this morning several batches of tickets were returned and these were used to fill what applications still remained at the office...
Hitchcock and Storer, who fill the tackle positions, are Sophomores. Both of them have played in most of the games as regulars. Hitchcock is a rangy, active player, who gets down the field with the ends under punts. He uses his hands well and covers considerable ground on the defence. Storer on the other wing is comparatively new to his position, having been shifted from centre to fill the vacancy made by the injury to Gardiner. He makes up for his lack of experience by a keen nose for the ball and a rare football instinct...

On the left of the line, Smith, Hitchcock and Leslie have...

We must not drown the signals of either team, but if we believe that there is any good in cheering, let us have a chance to show what...
Coach Haughton began yesterday to build up the weakened University football team in preparation for the final games against Carlisle, Dartmouth and Yale. The positions left vacant by Gardiner and Potter will be hard to fill, and have made necessary several radical changes in the line-up of the regular team. The most important change is the shifting of Captain fisher to the position of right tackle, where he has not played before, and putting in his place at guard his substitute, Keays. Whether this change will be permanent remains to be seen, but at present it seems...
