Cyrano de Bergerac. With this film, it is again indicated that good plays do not necessarily make good cinemas. Also the casual cinema adapter is vaguely vindicated. For this version of the Rostand comedy- made by Italians-follows the lines of the original like a silk stocking. Thus is eliminated virtually all the comedy of line.
