...into one or more of the fatal errors enumerated above. The proper method of constructing a schedule is to show the wages paid to each employee through a period of years, but here the statistician is confronted with serious problems. The number of people employed is always difficult to find; and even when that is done he may be unable to compute the duration of the labor because the time varies with different industries, and in different departments of the same industry. ...readable, the extravagant exposition of the manner of obtaining Pennsylvania game seats being particularly amusing. "Jack Tyler's Father," is a football story which contains much human nature but lacks the force of a climax or an effective catastrophe. The best drawing of the number is the centrepiece--"Puzzle: Find the man who vows he will never take another girl to a game"--a clever illustration of a situation decidedly within the range of possibility. The backs often reached holes in the line a little too late and sometimes did not find them at all. Campbell and Blagden opened wide holes in the Wesleyan line and did excellent work in boxing the opposing tackle. J. Lawrence and Lee were also valuable in helping the backs. Wesleyan's failure to get the ball in the first half prevented any judgement of the defensive powers...
