Providence, R. I., October 27, 1911.--The Brown football team held a final practice on Andrews Field this afternoon in preparation for the Harvard game. The coaches did not risk a scrimmage, but put the men through a careful individual drill, giving them special training in the fine points of both offensive and defensive playing. Although Yale is weakened by having her best ends on the hospital list, she expects to run up a larger score than last year against the Syracuse team. ...University baseball squad was given a long practice on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon, Coach Sexton devoting a great deal of time to instructing the candidates in the fine points of their positions. Special emphasis was laid upon the handling of ground balls. After the fielding practice Coach Sexton spent some time in teaching the fall-away slide.
