...work of the crews during the past week has been very satisfactory. All the boats have improved rapidly, and the races this afternoon promise to be very close. The general tendencies to wash out and clip the stroke at the finish are much less noticeable. The men are swinging fairly well together but are not getting enough power from their leg drive. Farley's boat has a tendency to clip the stroke at the finish and several of the men are not catching the water quick enough.
