Trask struck a tremendous gait and soon all the contestants but Goodwin fell far behind. About a hundred and fifty yards from the finish, Goodwin passed Trask and came in at almost a hundred yards gait, crossing the line in 2 minutes 2 seconds. Trask's time was 2 minutes 5 seconds...
