Marked progress has also been made on the Freshman Dormitories. There seems to be no doubt that the buildings will be finished by August 1, the date fixed in the contract. ...events run on the first day of the eighth annual Winter Carnival yesterday. The dashes, hurdles and class relay trials were particularly close. The race between 1914 and 1915 was hard-fought, the Juniors getting the lead in the last four relays and keeping it to the finish. Today the 7-lap race and the finals of the class relay races, 1914 vs. 1917, will be run. The pole-vault has been postponed till tomorrow. The summary is as follows...
...very exciting, as Kohn of Cornell defeated our last man, Fullerton, by only a fraction of a second. In the 200-yard race Fullerton won easily, but there was a close fight for second place between Starbuck and Kohn, which the former won after a beautiful spurt at the finish.
