...both Scott and his owner, surprisingly, said that he did not. For the Supreme Court to hear his case, Scott needed to show what is called “diversity of citizenship”—that he and his owner were citizens of different states. But Paul Finkelman, a professor at Albany Law School and an expert witness for Scott’s owner, argued that under Missouri state law, Scott could not be considered a citizen...

Soon after he left Disney, Katzenberg formed DreamWorks with David Geffen and Steven Spielberg. He raided a goodly portion of Disney talent, including Prince of Egypt producers Penney Finkelman Cox and Sandra Rabins and composer Hans Zimmer. He readily admits that The Prince of Egypt has a special resonance for him; one of his animators has even drawn a cartoon of Katzenberg as Moses confronting Eisner as Rameses. Airplane II contains some wonderful word play, and Finkelman's salutes to the television classics of the '60s and '70s cannot fail to touch those of us who grew up with Mission Impossible and Jeopardy. Nor is the rest of today's popular culture forgotten: Star Wars-types titles and the Battlestar Galactica theme begin this film and, within minutes, E.T. appears in a pay phone booth. Those not in the eighteen to thirty age bracket will miss these...
