However, I have two messages for our food industry: 1) many of the foods that the population should be eating?fruits, vegetables, fish, whole grains?are prohibitively expensive for the working class and the poor, and 2) too much money is spent on developing and marketing inexpensive, empty-calorie foods with no nutritional value.
