Allan Kirk, Crown Butte's chief exploration geologist, does a good job of guiding skeptical visitors around the mine site, explaining the care with which crews have been contouring and reseeding -- "mitigating" is the word -- old mine wreckage. With customers switching rapidly from films and photographs to electronic imaging, Fisher is expected to focus Kodak on digital forms of pictures that can be stored and transmitted by computer.
