Proud Utility. One of the few large independent utility companies is United Illuminating Co. which furnishes New Haven and Bridgeport with electricity. ...Haven Hospital as a result of the progress made in the development of the Human Welfare Group. The financial program of the group at its formation in February called for $15, 500,000, of which $6,000,000 remains to be obtained.
