Died. David Bibb Graves, 68, twice Governor of Alabama (1927-31; 1935-39); of a heart attack; in Sarasota, Fla. He was the only Alabama Governor ever to serve two full terms, was preparing, when he died, to campaign for a third. He was nicknamed "the Klan Governor" when he first took office, later dropped his Ku Klux membership.
