...beef ranch in the world is not the King Ranch in Texas. It is the Deseret Cattle & Citrus Ranch outside Orlando, Fla. It covers 312,000 acres; its value as real estate alone is estimated at $858 million. It is owned entirely by the Mormons. The company hopes that similar clubs, all serving the deep-fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches Elvis adored (as well as more healthful fare), will follow in Orlando, Fla., and New York City--not to mention an entire Elvis mini-resort in Las Vegas...
MIAMI BEACH, Fla.: Police are questioning the veracity of the Miami woman who says she saw Fernando Carreira carrying food into the houseboat where two days later he reported spotting Andrew Cunanan. Police are treating Dudley's story with care, noting that...
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla.: As Mir tumbled through space, the shuttle Columbia and its crew of seven was touching down at sunrise at Cape Canaveral. "We got all the science, plus more, that we were anticipating," said Commander James Halsell Jr., describing the armloads of experimental data (as well as space-grown spinach and clover) that his crew produced. "It was great to be up there and it's great to be home." Shuttle program manager Tommy Holloway added that after just an 84-day turnaround from its last, aborted mission, the revamped Columbia performed "in an absolutely exemplary manner...
