...then there was Cuccia. The All-American high school quarterback became a flanker in his sophomore year, and even though the stats showed only 22 receptions and 70 yards rushing, no one made a bigger impression than Ron Cuccia. Fast, sure-handed, strong-armed and harder to catch than a winning lottery ticket, Cuccia was an electric presence on the field--and a sure bet to make himself felt in the years to come...

Several factors might have saved the Crimson from that grim predicament. Flanker Ron Cuccia, who wound up with four catches for 46 yds., was underutilized throughout. Buckley never got Cuccia the ball in the first half, even though he was single covered (and not very well at that). Defensive tackle Chuck Durst (knee), offensive guard Mike Durgin (shoulder) and linebacker Brad Stinn (finger) all should be recovered from injuries suffered during last Saturday's 24-13 victory over William and Mary...

...Harvard side, Restic will probably substitute freely. Fullback Jim Callinan, recovered from the bruise on his leg, will start along with Paul Connors and Tom Beatrice, but Jim Acheson, Scott McCabe and Jim Garvey should also see action in the backfield. Flanker Ron Cuccia will not play again this week. The fleet Californian suffered a pulled hamstring at Dartmouth, and because the injury is so high in his leg, it can't be taped. He is possible at Penn, where halfback Paul Scheper should also return. To the predictions...
