...room grew larger, and with it the tree and my eyes. The mad doctor returned and covered the nutcracker with his cape. Boom, flash, I jumped inadvertently in my seat, and with the swirl of Drosselmeyer's cape, the nutcracker was real. And so was the magic; it was back. The battle with the mice started: squeak, bang, squeak, bang, and was over, sooner than I had thought. He will be attractive and he will be nice and helpful and he will get a job where he influences a great God-fearing nation and . . . he will just bit by little bit lower standards where they are important. ...lump of cloth once animate but no more, and turning to contemplate the mystery of a consciousness come and gone I to realize, thinking to my self: holy shit, I'm driving, and turning to the wheel a panic of road-leaving, a blurry desert scene suspension-crunching horror flash of scrub and a pedestrian, pale moon-faced shock, tears by, but I throw on the breaks and our tortured trusty boat screeches dustwise front-to-back to a halt...
