...only flaw in the college's otherwise excellent decision is the provision that seniors who apply to live off-campus must be twenty-one. Surely the college does not believe that only a few months' difference in age makes a young woman responsible to live in her own apartment. If students were required to obtain parental permission to live off-campus, its in loco parentis responsibility would not prevent the college from allowing seniors under twenty-one to have their own apartments...

Despite this flaw, the experiment is a worthy one and should be studied carefully. But the results, whatever they may be, should not be judged as conclusive. First of all, 20 students is obviously a small sampling. Also, moving off-campus in February of one's senior year is considerably more troublesome than moving at the beginning of the school year. ...economic plan, which was designed to give British industry and labor a goal to aim at-and a bit of a kick in that direction. Drawn up by Economics Minister George Brown and in preparation for eleven months, the 494-page plan marshals impressive statistics, recites almost every known flaw in the industrial machine and insists that Britain speed up the growth of its economy to achieve a 25% gain in national output...

...last year's general convention, which implied, to him, that women were "ordered" to the diaconate just as men are. To close this loophole, a committee proposed a new resolution enumerating the "chief duties" of deaconesses that excluded distribution of Communion. Ex-Lawyer Pike quickly spied the flaw: distributing Communion could be deemed a "minor function" of deaconesses and thus permissible. Finally the committee brought in a no-nonsense substitute resolution that flatly stated: "Deaconesses may not be permitted to administer the elements of the Holy Communion...
