Some 250,000 people fled southeastern plains of the Netherlands today after continued flooding submerged towns and villages, while cars and trucks jammed the water-logged highways. Even worse, crisis management experts are warning that the country's 300-mile network of dikes, which dates to the Middle Ages, is "soaked to the limit" and could burst.
