Last February, after Stallings proclaimed his total split from Rome on the Phil Donahue show, the archdiocese excommunicated him and all Catholics in his flock. At that time, the priest announced that his organization had abandoned Catholic teachings against abortion, birth control, homosexual activity and remarriage after divorce.
