This is theater at its most superficial. There is no coherent message or even mood behind Valdina's piece. It's a shame, because the efforts of the actors are obscured within this shallow fluff, as are Valdina's fine talent for dialogue and musical composition. Ultimately, Jordan Valdina's "As Breath in the Wind" is about as satisfying as watching MTV for an hour and a half. Something new happens every minute, and yes, each new effect attempts to be provocative and disturbing, but there's no common vision to unite all the fragments. At the end, little stands...

...should we give up? After all, we are intelligent types and should be judged on our gray matter, not our hot pink bustiers. It's legitimate to focus on more cerebral things and perhaps a bit impractical to trek off to the Science Center in a fluff of crepede-chine and sequins. ...performance at the forum was a rather uninspired, and uninspiring, bit of fluff. The only interesting comments of the evening came from Gould. Every interested person who missed the debate should read his comments in the The New Yorker. Given the chance to relive Tuesday evening, I would have elected to stay home and carefully read Gould's article to get some real intellectual debate...

...feels about marshmallow:I think it's wonderful stuff, especially fluff. That's even better because it's spreadable without going through that over the fire stage, when you have to melt them down. They usually just combust over the fire, and somebody's figured that out. I'd like to shake his hand, whoever that is. Now , you can just pit fluff on anything...
