...deadlines or no, with or without color, there's not much more I could have asked for from FM than the ability to look back and be glad to have done what I did. And I am. And I can only hope my grand plans for the future fail so well. Because as much fun as I trust you've had reading FM this past year, I can assure you that ARC, AMD, JSP, AMSM and I have had that much more planning...

Disparaging consultants should be easy by comparison. Consider: Investment bankers spend 18 hours a day entering numbers into spreadsheets. They "analyze data" and "run regressions." Consultants "work in teams" and "brainstorm." They figure out how to "streamline" and "trim the fat." "Let's get back to basics," they might say, pointing to a 3-D pie chart...

Emerging newly clad from my room, I am informed by my roommates that my photographer this evening will not be FM Photography Editor Matthew R. Cordell as planned, but rather his friend, Tad Fallows.
