...assistant may disregard the amount of money collected on the ground that the locality assigned to one candidate was better than that assigned to another. (2). His judgment as to which candidate has shown the most business ability in collecting is entirely a personal matter and he may follow it or not as he pleases. When we consider how many men have been appointed who did not head the list of candidates in the amount of their collections or who had never even been candidates for the positions to which they were appointed, we are forced to the conclusion that...

Brown was outclassed from the start and proved unable to penetrate the Harvard defense. The forwards showed improvement in keeping their positions, but, with the exception of Callaway, still failed to follow back after losing the puck. Their inaccuracy in shooting was also responsible for the loss of many chances to score. The team work, however, was good, many excellent passes being made...

Since the last intercollegiate game with Columbia on January 21 the play of the University team has slightly improved. The forwards follow back well on the defense but their passing is unreliable, often weakening the effect of the attack. When near the opponents' goal many chances to score are lost as the men fail to keep their positions and are very slow in shooting. The defense is erratic and does not work together, often allowing a single fast forward to get close to the goal...

Callaway and Townsend, though quicker at following back, were inaccurate in their shooting. The stick work of all the forwards was poor and none seemed able to keep possession of the puck...

On the offensive the forwards seemed unable to keep up with the puck; while Wilder and Townsend were very slow in their stick work and did not follow back well. The defense was also ineffective, owing in great measure to the frequency with which Newhall left his position at coverpoint to play among the forwards. Tilden, moreover, was weak at goal. The Freshmen played aggressively, but were weak in passing and shooting. The line-up: UNIVERSITY TEAM. FRESHMEN. Grant...
