While taking a nap in my Canaday F room, the wind (something I'm usually quite fond of) blew my alarm clock off its former resting place on my window sill to its final resting place on the steps of the dorm. Consequentially, my alarm clock broke into several pieces upon hitting the pavement. In my daze, I decided that this was an inconsequential occurrence and promptly slept, not surprisingly, for a long time. This must be the reason for the rule against removing window screens.
