...Goodies. Though comparisons are somewhat clouded by the fact that all manufacturers put their new cars on sale earlier this year than last, Ford's sales figures show definite strike symptoms. In the first ten days of this month, the Lincoln-Mercury Division sold only 5,650 cars, as against 14,058 last year. Though they, too, face possible strikes, the other automakers are cheering the best "debut time" in new car history. In all, the industry sold 327,531 new cars in the last ten days of September-second best ten-day period ever...
